The Conquest of Space

Space exploration has fascinated me for as long as I can remember.

I grew up during the race to the Moon, when spaceflight represented one of humanity’s most ambitious undertakings. The missions were dramatic, but just as compelling were the people, engineering decisions, political pressures and often-overlooked stories behind them.

That lifelong interest eventually led me to study Space Studies and to create The Conquest of Space, a continuing exploration of the history, technology and people behind humanity’s journey beyond Earth.

My research focuses on both the famous milestones and the lesser-known details that shaped them—from the early development of rocketry and the Cold War space race to robotic exploration, planetary missions and the evolving international effort to explore the Moon, Mars and beyond.

I am especially interested in the stories that sit just beneath the familiar history:

the engineers whose decisions shaped missions,
the technologies that made seemingly impossible achievements possible,
the failures that changed future designs,
and the individuals whose contributions are often overlooked. Space history is more than a record of launches and spacecraft.

It is a story of ambition, risk, discovery, ingenuity and the determination to push beyond what was previously thought possible.

That same fascination with exploration, technology and consequence also influences much of my fiction and screenwriting.
