Z
Cars .....Passing Porsches all day long

My
first "Z" - a 1977 280Z that I
purchased in 1980. I saw the car on a parking lot
at a dealership driving home one night. I was due
for an upgrade on my 1976 Mustang II Cobra. The
dealer offered to let me take it home for dinner
and bring it back afterwards no questions asked.
Well needless to say I hopped all over that
offer. I loved th Z car long before I could even
drive. I sat in a friends 1972 Z and it validated
everything I thought. Owning one was a dream for
me, but later that night I closed the deal and
for the next 3 years I put 77k miles on that car.
In 1983 I traded it in on a brand new Z28 Camaro.
That car was slick, but disappointing and no
match for the Z. I regretted making the trade and
longed to get another one down the road.

My second
"Z" - a 1993 300ZX. A very special car
and my personal favorite of all the cars I've
ever owned. A great car holds great sentimental
value to me above and beyond it's great looks and
handing. I've put 80k on this one. Even today, 13
years later it still holds timeless lines and
garners looks out on the road. I vowed to never
get rid of this car and have passed it down to my
son on the condition that I get it back should he
ever decided to get another car. This one has
been meticulously kept.

My
third "Z" - a 2003 350Z. This car
reminds me of my first Z. the cockpit design and
handling are similar. The same style featured in
the "Fast and the Furious - Tokyo
Drift". Won't tell you how fast I've gone,
but I'm continually pushing the needle on it.
